These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Subvideo.ai, including guest access, free accounts, paid plans, transcription, subtitle editing, translation, AI voiceover, video rendering, downloads and related tools.

By creating an account, uploading content, purchasing a plan or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. The Privacy Policy, the plan description shown before purchase and any specific notices shown for a feature also apply. Individual agreements take precedence over these standard terms.

You must be legally capable of entering into a contract. Minors may use the service only with the consent and supervision required by applicable law.

You must provide accurate account information and keep login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless it results from circumstances outside your control. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Subvideo.ai processes audio, video and text using automated systems. Available functions may include transcription, speaker detection, subtitle editing, translation, styling, AI voiceover, burn-in and file export.

Processing requires a supported, technically readable file and, for transcription, an audible audio track. Files without usable audio, corrupted files, unsupported codecs or unusually complex media may fail or require conversion. Processing times are estimates and can vary with file length, selected quality, queue load and hardware availability.

Guest access

Guest access currently includes one upload of up to 60 minutes. Guest files are automatically deleted 48 hours after processing.

Free account

A Free account currently includes up to three uploads per day, with up to 60 minutes per file. Projects, subtitle files and project settings remain available until you delete them or close the account. Uploaded and generated video files are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Ultimate

Ultimate currently costs USD 9.99 per month and includes uploads and video duration without a fixed standard limit, all enabled export functions, AI voiceover in currently 26 languages, priority processing and priority support. Ultimate video files are not subject to the automatic 30-day deletion. Ultimate is subject to Fair Use and is not an unlimited archival-storage product.

The exact features and limits displayed at checkout or in the account at the time of purchase are decisive.

Free access begins when an account is created or a guest upload is accepted. A paid contract is concluded when you submit the purchase and the payment provider confirms the transaction or we otherwise confirm activation.

Prices, billing periods, included features and applicable taxes are shown before purchase. Unless stated otherwise, prices are shown in US dollars. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal under their own terms and privacy notices.

You must provide valid payment information and ensure that sufficient funds are available. We may temporarily suspend paid functions after a failed or reversed payment until the matter is resolved.

A monthly Ultimate subscription renews automatically for another monthly billing period unless it is cancelled before the next renewal. You can cancel through the billing or subscription area of your account or by contacting support. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the already paid billing period.

A separately offered 30-day pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically. The price and exact period shown at checkout apply.

Deleting an account does not retroactively reverse completed payments. Before deleting an account, cancel any active subscription or contact support so that billing can be checked.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or another jurisdiction granting a statutory withdrawal right, you may generally withdraw from an online service contract within 14 days, subject to the applicable legal conditions and exceptions.

If you expressly request immediate performance during the withdrawal period, you may owe a proportionate amount for services already supplied. For digital content supplied immediately, the withdrawal right may expire once performance begins if the legally required express consent, acknowledgement and confirmation have been provided. Separate withdrawal information shown during checkout or sent after purchase is decisive.

Outside mandatory statutory rights, fees for billing periods or one-time access that have already begun or been used are generally not refundable. Duplicate charges, billing errors and material service failures will be reviewed individually. This does not limit statutory warranty, withdrawal or reimbursement rights.

Model withdrawal statement

To exercise a withdrawal right, send an unequivocal statement to support@subvideo.ai containing your name, account email, purchase date and the statement that you withdraw from the contract. You may use this wording: “I hereby withdraw from the contract concluded by me for the provision of Subvideo.ai services.”

“Unlimited” means that Ultimate has no fixed standard daily upload count or ordinary per-file duration limit. It does not mean unlimited storage capacity, guaranteed processing speed, unrestricted automated mass use or a right to consume resources in a way that threatens service stability.

Fair Use is exceeded in particular by exceptional storage consumption, automated or coordinated mass uploads, account sharing outside an authorised team, deliberate queue saturation, repeated avoidable reprocessing of the same large media, circumvention of technical protections or use that materially impairs other users.

If usage is exceptional, we may contact you, ask for old source videos to be removed, archive or delete particularly large video files after reasonable notice, temporarily limit further uploads or processing, or propose an individual business arrangement. Where urgent action is necessary to protect security or availability, a temporary restriction may occur without prior notice. We will try to preserve projects and subtitle files wherever reasonably possible.

Storage periods differ by access level. Guest files are deleted after 48 hours. In Free accounts, projects, subtitles and settings remain stored, while uploaded and generated video files are deleted after 30 days. Ultimate video files are not automatically deleted after 30 days but remain subject to Fair Use.

You can delete projects and files through available account functions. Account deletion may remove accessible content after a short technical processing period, except where retention is legally required.

Subvideo.ai is a production service, not a permanent backup or archive. Keep independent copies of original media, subtitles, exports and other important content. Once a source video has been deleted, a later video render may require the source file to be uploaded again.

You retain ownership of content you upload and of rights you already hold. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, convert, analyse, translate, synthesise, render and transmit your content only to the extent necessary to provide, secure and improve the requested service.

You confirm that you have all rights, licences, permissions and consents required for uploaded media, spoken content, music, images, personal data, translations and voice material. You are responsible for the legality of your content and for obtaining consent from identifiable persons where required.

You may not use Subvideo.ai to:

• upload or create unlawful, infringing, deceptive or seriously harmful content;
• violate copyright, privacy, personality, confidentiality or other third-party rights;
• create or distribute child sexual abuse material or content that unlawfully exploits minors;
• spread malware, attack infrastructure, bypass limits or interfere with security and availability;
• resell, share or automate access in a way not authorised by the purchased plan;
• clone, imitate or synthesise a person’s voice without the necessary consent and lawful basis;
• impersonate another person, commit fraud or create misleading content intended to cause unlawful harm.

We may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect affected persons or secure the service.

Transcriptions, translations, speaker labels, timing, summaries, styles and voiceovers are generated or assisted by automated systems and may contain errors, omissions or unintended wording. Accuracy depends on audio quality, accents, language, terminology, background noise and other factors.

You must review results before publication or use. Subvideo.ai does not provide legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Do not rely on unreviewed AI output for safety-critical, legally binding or similarly high-risk decisions.

Some functions rely on third-party providers. Depending on the language pair, subtitle text may be sent to the Google Translate API when a local translation model is unavailable. Payment processing may be provided by Stripe or PayPal. Hosting, e-mail, analytics or AI infrastructure may also involve specialised service providers.

The Privacy Policy explains the categories of data, purposes, legal bases, recipients and storage periods. Third-party services may also be subject to their own terms. We select providers with due care but cannot control every independent third-party system.

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular processing time or compatibility with every file and device. Maintenance, security incidents, provider outages, network problems, queue load and hardware failures may temporarily affect the service.

We may improve, replace, limit or discontinue functions where reasonably necessary for security, law, technical development or economic operation. Paid core functionality will not be materially reduced during an active paid period without a valid reason or an appropriate remedy.

We may temporarily restrict or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, unlawful content, security risks, fraud, payment failure, abuse of resources or conduct that threatens the service or other users. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.

You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion. Ending an account or plan does not affect claims or obligations that arose before termination. Sections that by their nature should continue, including rights, liability and dispute provisions, remain applicable.

The software, interface, design, trademarks, documentation and original website content of Subvideo.ai are protected by intellectual-property law. Except where expressly allowed, you may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, scrape or commercially exploit the service or use our branding in a misleading way.

Open-source components and third-party materials remain subject to their respective licences.

Statutory warranty rights apply. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under mandatory product-liability law and where a guarantee has expressly been assumed.

For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation whose fulfilment is essential to proper performance and on which users may normally rely. In that case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate unreviewed AI output, missing user rights or consents, unsupported or defective source files, external provider outages, or failure to keep independent backups.

German law applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections granted by the law of your habitual residence.

Statutory rules on jurisdiction apply. For merchants, legal entities under public law and special funds under public law, the provider’s registered office is agreed as the place of jurisdiction to the extent permitted.

Please contact support first so that we can try to resolve complaints directly. We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, unless a mandatory legal obligation applies in a particular case.

We may update these terms for legal, security, technical or product reasons. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable manner before they take effect. Changes will not retroactively remove rights already earned.

If a material change disadvantages an ongoing paid subscription, you may cancel before the change takes effect unless the change is required by law or is purely beneficial or neutral. The date shown at the top identifies the current version.
